Kita ini bukan sesiapa. Kita ini hamba Allah. Kita ini kercil dan kerdil sahaja. KepadaNya tempat untuk kita meminta dan kepadaNya sahajalah tempat kita memohan.
Bila mahu berdoa pasangkan niat dalam hati dengan ikhlas. Sambil berdoa seeloknya senyum. Bila senyum, kita meminta dengan ikhlas. Sapalah diriNya dengan kegembiraan biarpun hati kita amat berat. Kalau meminta dengan manusia kita senyum, bermanis muka dan merayu tetapi mengapa kepada tuhan kita seakan memaksa dan dengan muka mencuka?
Kenapa kita harus bermasam muka dengan Allah? Kita mahu meminta sesuatu darinya tetapi mengapa meminta dengan diri yang tidak bersedia. Bersangka baiklah kepadaNya agar Dia menerima doa kita. Ikhlaskan senyuman dan bersihkan hati. Jika doa kita tidak dimakbulkan sekarang, bukan bermakna Allah menolak doa kita. Belum sampai waktunya untuk doa diterima. Mungkin pada kita ada bahagian yang perlu diperbetul dan usaha yang tidak boleh putus. Jadi jangan mudah mengalah jika apa yang kita pinta belum kesampaian.
Senyumlah kepada Allah kerana padaNya ada kegembiraan dan kebahagiaan. Bukankah dia Maha Pengasih lagi Pengayang?
